Hello, welcome to Dry Fly Politics. We are in very exciting times in America. Our military is involved in operations around the world, we are in the midst of arguably the most open presidential contest in the last 100 years, and the country is divided over domestic issues.
This blog will focus on all facets of American and International politics. There will be many posts on the Republican race for president because it is a 4 horse race with no clear leader and there will be minimal posts from the democratic side because Hillary looks like a foregone conclusion for the nomination, therefore it is just not as interesting.
So who am I? I am a 29 year old husband and father of 2. I recently separated from the military. I have a masters degree in International Relations, Africa and the Middle East are where my passions lie. I am a conservative and believe in small government, international trade and openness, fiscal responsibility, strong and smart defense, and that families are the most essential unit of society. When evaluating a candidate for election I judge them based on these criteria.
